Gulf Coast Methanol Project

MyrtleGroveMap_crop72

We are developing our first world-scale methanol plant, which is projected to be in operation by 2018. The plant will be located on the US Gulf Coast with product storage, loading terminals, and deep-water access for the largest methanol ships.

The first plant will have a capacity of 5000 mt/d and the output is currently targeted for customers in the US and Chinese markets. Three additional plants are planned for a total potential methanol production of 20,000 mt/d (7.2 MM mt/yr). The site is located near a high-pressure natural gas pipeline for feedstock supply, and will utilize proven methanol conversion technology from Haldor Topsøe.

IGP has developed an integrated value-chain of partners that are committed to developing and building this initial project. Companies we are working with include: Praxair, Haldor Topsøe, Veolia and Entergy.
